I’m not a newbie when it comes to knitting but it has been quite a while since I knitted something. One thing I am a newbie of is working with pelt yarn (faux fur). I saw a faux fur neck warmer I liked so I began on my quest to revisit an old hobby. I can thank my neighbor Mary Lou (now deceased) who lived on the 1st floor in the 5 floor walk-up I used to call my domicile. Without her showing me how to knit hands on, I probably would have never picked up on it. I do remember my desire was spurred by my becoming a mother. I’ve knitted only hats and scarves. I do amigurumi as well when it comes to needle crafts.

And so voila… It took me a few hours to knit the neck warmer but broken in two days since I did not order enough pelt yarn for my project so I ended up taking a trip to the craft store the next day to buy another skein. I used 3 skeins total.

Sadly, I live in a place that is almost Summer all year long and maybe, yes maybe, a coat worthy day or two. I will be praying for an extended period of cold weather especially since our AC is busted. I cannot wait to have this soft, fluffy and cushy bit of coziness wrapped around my neck.

I have applied filters on the picture for anonymity’s sake. The point is to provide visuals without my clear visage, my poor attempt at privacy. Lol.
