Hope for Tomorrow

Being “pruned” is such a time that can truly make or break a believer’s faith. In this case, my family happens to be undergoing such a process.

I find it quite timely that we decide to go feed the birds at the park to remind us of an emphatic statement Jesus made in Matthew 6:26, Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Fellow believers, whenever we find ourselves devoid of hope as we traverse in this mire called life, let us never forget to find solace in the valuable nuggets of faith and hope encompassed in none other than God’s Word.

Even though we feel as if we are the only ones going through deep waters, Jesus gives a word of admonition to all his believers in John 16:33,

“… In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

We WILL overcome as Christ is in us…
