I don’t know much about you but God allowed that we cross paths. I hope you find Jesus Christ. He is only one sincere cry away.
Lying To Myself
Where do I begin?
How do I explain the steps I’ve taken
In this darkness that I’m in
The shadows of my own creation
So I throw all the blame
On excuses that I made
To cover up the shame
Wherewith these words I say
I breed another lie
‘Coz I can’t shake these shadows
That cover up the lie inside
I’m never gonna change
If I keep on lying to myself
So where did I go wrong?
When did I start losing all my innocence?
‘Coz I thought I was so strong
Strong enough to win in any circumstance
So I tell myself a lie
I’ve given my best try
To try to make it right
Wherewith these words I say
I breed another lie
‘Coz I can’t shake these shadows
That cover up the lie inside
I’m never gonna change
If I keep on lying to myself
And I agree
Or we’ll never be set free
‘Til we face up to the things we did
Believe that we can start again
Or else we keep continuing to breed…
I breed another lie
‘Coz I can’t shake these shadows
Inside, inside
I’m never gonna change
If I keep on lying to myself
I can’t keep on lying to myself
I cannot keep on lying
I cannot keep on lying
I cannot keep on lying…
Repentance… such a humbling yet liberating thing
Song and Lyrics by Ben Glover
From the Album 26 Letters
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.“
