Life Is Short

It was only days ago that this had petals. They were blown off by the wind. On the bright side, more seeds…

This is my backyard sunflower update. While one is already dying but producing seeds, the others are just beginning to bloom- reminiscent of each believer’s development in our faith walk, which serves as a great reminder that we ought not compare ourselves to other believer’s walk for we each have our own load to carry. Your brother and sister in Christ will be rewarded for the work they have done unto the Lord and so will you. With God, there is no favoritism.

The batch on the right side which has more growing to do.

“So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.’ 9 And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius. 10 But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received each a denarius. 11 And when they had received it, they complained against the landowner, 12 saying, ‘These last men have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.’ 13 But he answered one of them and said, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ 16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”

Matthew 20:8-16

The batch on the left side of the sliding door.

Life is short. Our days are always numbered as evidenced by all the random shootings that is becoming the new normal. Though things seem to be getting worse all around us, the Lord says,

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.

John 14:27

“So be careful to live your life wisely, not foolishly. 16 Take advantage of every opportunity because these are evil times.”

Ephesians 5:15-16 CEB

If you have not committed your life to Jesus yet, now is the time.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12
