I was initially thinking of an uplifting post, but alas, I read something that I couldn’t unread. God will always be sovereign and nothing will change this fact. When we find ourselves going through hard times, it is always because He could not allow His children to be in a complacent state according to this verse,
“Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.”
Revelation 3:19
and this…
“But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.”
1 Corinthians 11:32
His love simply cannot allow His children to go undisciplined. He promised never to abandon us and He continues to extend His love to an unrepentant people.

While it is pleasing to God to pray for our leaders, when its people and also those in leadership choose to forward an agenda that goes against Him, we should not be surprised that our prayers may seemingly fall on deaf ears. We would be deluded to think that God will continue to bless a country that seeks to overthrow everything that stands for His righteousness. The country has chosen its course.
“For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.”
1 Thessalonians 5:3
While there is time, REPENT!
“Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.”
