The Beginning of Sorrows, A Prophecy Unfolding

Our witnessing of the Blood moon earlier this week has led us to look it up and have found that the Blood moon usually occurs when something is about to happen pertaining to Israel and its people. It was then confirmed by an email we got the next day urging us to pray for Israel and the upcoming United Nations meeting that will be held sometime this month regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Joel 3
The Nations Will Be Judged
1 [a]For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will gather all the nations
And bring them down to the valley of [b]Jehoshaphat.
Then I will enter into judgment with them there
On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
And they have divided up My land.

Anyway, as we watch current events, we see the Palestinians push to be recognized as an independent state in the United Nations. That would mean they are looking for autonomy from being under Israel, and therefore divide the land in which God has alloted to the Israelites which in Joel 3:2 will cause judgment against the nations who partake in dividing the land. If you read the Bible, this very event that is about to unfold within this month is one of the indicators that Jesus Christ will return soon. Very soon.

Before I had a real encounter with Jesus Christ, I battled many sleepless nights because I was afraid of death. My fear of death or the unknown goes back to my childhood when I grew up watching the news on TV of war-torn countries and famine in Africa with the stark images of emaciated children ingrained in my head. I also had a phobia of hearing helicopters and airplanes with the thought that there’s war going on. I remember having such interest in end time prophecies at such a tender age. I never understood that.

Are we looking at the fruition of the 7 Year Treaty prophecy? Will they ratify the treaty at the end of this month? If so, that would mean our time here is short. I never would have thought that we would witness such unfolding in our current generation. It is such a joyous thing to look forward to the Lord Jesus Christ’s coming, yet I understand to those who have not resolved to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ, it would indeed be a scary thing. Remember to call on Jesus Christ, your savior, the only one who can save you from your sins…

No amount of good works can save you because as good as you claim to be, Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and will remain tainted with sin. The only thing that can cleanse you of your sins is Jesus Christ’s atonement. Your good works cannot save you. If it were so, you would be your personal savior and will have no need of Jesus Christ to save you. Your eternal destiny awaits on you making the decision to personally profess and ask Jesus to be your savior. Knowing about what Jesus did and personally asking him to be your savior are two different things.

Just say “JESUS CHRIST, PLEASE SAVE ME.” and mean it from the very core of your being. In so doing, you are acknowledging that there is nothing you can do to save yourself and acknowledge His Lordship over you.

It is that simple. By doing so, your fears would dissipate, scales would come off and you can glory in the promise in Revelation 3:10,

“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.”

To echo Romans 13:11, salvation is indeed closer than when we first believed. My heart’s desire is to be deemed worthy to be among those who will not taste death. Imagine that… To be fortunate as those who elude death by means of being raptured is the ultimate gift.

Let us all pray for Israel, and above all, do not forget to resolve to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior if you haven’t done so already.
