What Flew By In 2021

Observing birds has been a therapeutic hands-on lesson when it comes to witnessing God’s provision in 2021the year of mandates and mounting cares. This year has indeed been tough for every single soul. Throughout the year, I chose not to talk at length about my family’s hardships and being afflicted by a chronic condition. I did not want it to define what this blog is all abouta testimony to God’s care and faithfulness, that with His help, a life of peace is possible in the midst of tumult.

I also want to thank everyone who has joined and supported me on this blogging journey. My hope is that this little corner has helped to be a voice of reason and encouragement to you even when most of what is addressed here could cause fear and apprehension to some. I am grateful that we are given yet more time to bring souls to come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

“Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns—and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”

A few sparrows came by the wooden fence earlier today to greet a Happy New Year! It also had an unexpected twist when a cat jumped on the fence to scare the bird away, but that is life… Things come our way unexpectedly. However, we have the Holy Spirit and God’s Word to help us prepare and navigate through what lies ahead.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.

Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Matthew 10:28-31 NIV

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6
