A Pattern For Remnants

There’s no letting up with what’s going on in current events. It’s not escapism to do some kind of creating while chaos persists.

In this household, we don’t celebrate the Easter bunny. However, if someone has it in their tradition to give away baskets of goodies during Easter, I won’t be the one to discourage giving. You could still stick to the bunny if your conscience as a Christian doesn’t bother you, but definitely include an accompanying verse as to what Easter truly means as a follower of Jesus Christ especially to the young ones. This pattern carries a bunny. I decided to work on a cat (the last one on the pattern cover).  I used mostly remnant fabrics from previous projects to construct the whole thing.

Speaking of remnants, here is a worthy promise and a pattern of life for the true remnant believers in Jesus Christ,

“‘After this I will return
    and rebuild David’s fallen tent.
Its ruins I will rebuild,
    and I will restore it,

17 that the remnant of men may seek the Lord,
and all the Gentiles who bear my name,
says the Lord, who does these things’

18     that have been known for ages.

19 “ “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood.

Acts 15:16-20 NIV

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us.”

1 John 4:18-19 NIV
