A Sort Of Lengthy Lookback

I was initially planning on not blogging and starting afresh on the first day of 2020 but it seems I cannot hold my resolve on that. This is a last day recap/confession post of 2019.

Blog inactivity

I got majorly tripped on distractions hurled my way from crafts all the way to unanswered questions. Getting distracted is my main weakness in my spiritual walk. Blogging and talking about Jesus became further and further away from my mind. Something major happened. I wish I could talk about it in full detail, but it involves someone close to me who is divorcing after 20 plus years of marriage. Over a decade prior, I had dreamt about this loved one’s spouse which showed details I did not want to see that infidelity was going to occur. At the time, I didn’t know what to do with it, but had a talk with the concerned party that if something needed to get fixed, it should be dealt with or else what I dreamt would happen… and sadly, it did. It was met with the reaction that I had no right to tell of what I saw in my dream. To this day, I still wonder whether telling her about the dream is the reason of her animus towards me.

The animus I am speaking of became evident when I was talking to my in-law about unrelated stuff and before I knew it, I was being called a babykiller and self-righteous in front of everyone in the room. I have openly shared about my abortion testimony on my blog a few times and so, this outburst was a complete non sequitur of an ad hominem given the scenario. Sorry guys, I’m a nerd which I just recently heard that saying “nerd” is pretty much verboten in this day and age. I’m not sure if it applies to this one since it’s used on myself. I don’t want to linger on this. I just want to make known I have no ill will towards someone, especially one related to me by blood as God won’t forgive me if I don’t forgive (Matthew 6:15).

The president’s Impeachment

Do I want to start talking about this? I choose not to. Wasting emotions on something we can do nothing about is exactly just a waste of everything. I’m a political person in nature but in this case, I choose not to waste keystrokes. My only hope though is that the one who deserves vindication will be vindicated. As for the mainstream media’s attempt to divide the evangelicals’ support for the president, I hope all bible-believing Christians can see past this agenda. Christianity Today is a clear example of pseudo-Christians hijacking a publication catered to Christians solely for the title.

A look back on the Economist cover of 2019

The Pinocchio figure is looking to be more like James Comey.
The volcano erupting is the one in New Zealand.
Brexit is obviously happening.
Facial recognition will be something that’s inevitable in our existence from now until an EMP occurs.

The cover I am talking about can be seen here which I have previously blogged a year ago here.

On Antisemism

Any professing Christian who is anti-Israel and are borderline antisemites (Replacement theology) need to reassess their claim to Christianity. Hatred towards the Jewish people is coming from the father of lies, the devil (John 8:44, 1 John 3:15), whose intent is to kill, steal and destroy.

On Christmas Eve

I did not have to cook that day since we indulged at the Chinese buffet that afternoon. I had my usual serving of shrimp meatballs, string beans, rice noodles and some Japanese style chicken cutlets. It was the only meal I had that day. Later on, my husband and I headed to the grocery store to get some items when an elderly woman with a cane out of nowhere said, “God bless you” to us. She also shook my hand. We’ve been here for three years and this was the first time it happened. We went home to drop off the stuff we bought and told the kids what just happened and we headed to Walmart for a last minute present.

While we were there, a young Asian man who looked to be in his twenties approached my husband and I (again, another first) and asked if we were willing to participate in a “study he was conducting” regarding the bible. We were happy to oblige. He then started to talk about the feminine aspect of God in the bible and it piqued both our interest. As I was hearing the young man talk, he said that the bride has the authority to grant salvation. John 14:6 immediately came to mind. I was expecting he would know it, but he said, “What’s that?” so we told him to look it up. After he read it out loud, he went on with his misinformation mission about proving his case that the bride talked about in Revelation 22:17 also refers to the feminine aspect of God which he was addressing mostly to my husband. They had an exchange on a verse found in Galatians for several minutes until the young man declared he did not want to argue. Apparently, he was expecting to do most of the talking. We later found out he belonged to an organization called the World Mission Society Church of God.

To the ones asserting the feminine aspect of God (like the young man and many others), please remember the chaos arising from human “non-binary” claimants about their preferred pronoun. God has a preferred pronoun. It is a definite masculine one, He and Him for the Father and the Son, and also for the Holy Spirit contrary to what The Shack would have millions believe,

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

John 16:13

May we all pursue absolute truth wherever it leads us in the coming year.

  1. I’m not anti-Israel. But I don’t believe that God is all too concerned about the land of Israel itself, or who owns it. Remember that what is left over of the land of Israel is slowing shrinking in size. God IS concerned with the heart of those whom He calls His own, and they can be found around the world.

    1. “But I don’t believe that God is all too concerned about the land of Israel itself, or who owns it.”

      – What God gave to the Jewish people as their inheritance is irrevocable. If God is not concerned about the land of Israel itself, He would not have it written extensively in His word.

Ezekiel 48:29- “This is the land which you shall divide by lot as an inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions,” says the Lord GOD.”

      – God is the same God as the one found in the Old and New testament. His promises to the Jewish people endures until its fulfillment (Romans 11). The security of our own salvation hinges on God’s faithfulness towards a backsliding people (Nehemiah 1:9). The last time I checked, the nation of Israel is not the only one who backslides but also each and every one of us.

More on the Jewish people being restored to their land…

Jeremiah 16:15- “but, ‘The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.”

Isaiah 14:1- “For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will still choose Israel, and settle them in their own land. The strangers will be joined with them, and they will cling to the house of Jacob.”

      Jeremiah 31:33-36,

“33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

      35 Thus says the Lord,
Who gives the sun for a light by day,
The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
      Who disturbs the sea,
      And its waves roar
(The Lord of hosts is His name):
      36 “If those ordinances depart
From before Me, says the Lord,
Then the seed of Israel shall also cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”

The land of Israel must exist for the prophecies concerning it to be fulfilled. Have you ever wondered why bigger Islamic nations want to eliminate the small nation of Israel? When Jesus comes down at His Second Coming, He will fulfill the prophecy that He will sit on David’s throne (Luke 1:32).

  2. A lot of thoughts are in there. I will save discussing Israel for another time. Antisemitism is of course sinful, as is hatred toward any person or group of people. But in this business about the feminine side of God, I am definitely on your side. Jesus is the only way to the Father. The Bride of Revelation 21 & 22 is the Church, the chosen people of God. Yes, people come to salvation through the work of the Church when the Church is faithful to Christ, but he remains the only Savior. Have a great new year! J.

      – Hello J! Happy New Year to you as well. We have the same position on the clarity of who the bride is, the Church as stated in Ephesians 5:23, For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

That was my first encounter with someone from WMSCOG and it was made evident he was talking about a completely different being when he started to make literal what was symbolic invoking Sarah in Galatians 4:26. Their website speaks of God the Mother.
