Countdown To America’s Oblivion

With less than 3 months to Election Day, having seen the media frenzy over politics yesterday, I can’t help but come to grips with the reality of what I am going to be forced to do, to vote for someone who does not come close to the epitome of a man who shuns evil. I know one party happens to lean closer to that which governs the principles I hold to and the other hides so well in a facade of fairness and equality but under much scrutiny only really favors special interests groups but have no regard for the persecuted majority whatsoever.

The enemy wants to corner believers. He wants us not to vote period so not voting is definitely not an option. It seems one of his diabolical agenda has been fulfilled, look at #15 on the list here. “A New York Republican in reality is equivalent to a Democrat.” I totally borrowed this from House of Cards because it is not far fetched when it comes to Donald Trump. However, there is such a thing as the lesser of two evils. The question really to ask is which party has ties to the Jewish Nation? I say Trump because he cannot go against his beloved daughter who converted to Judaism, and his adorable grandchildren. And so I am left with the choice to vote for a blatant blithering billionaire, than a dishonest deceiving Demoncrat.

You (Reader) : Oh no you didn’t!

Me: Yes, I sure did. Pardon my play on words but have you forgotten lying to the general public happens to be the chief demon’s native tongue? (John 8:44)

To Trump or not to Trump, this is indeed every Republican’s dilemma. But America is on borrowed time. It has long passed the pronouncement, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;” (Isaiah 5:20) This place is awaiting God’s judgment, but as believers, we should not fear. He is sovereign and although we don’t see good things come from everything we see on the news we are to remember,

“The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him”

Nahum 1:7

It is true what one speaker said that America is not the only country in the world, yet America happens to be my country, hence the apprehension of most Christians for the upcoming presidential election. I do understand what the speaker meant; after all it was a symposium about Eschatology which zones in on the apple of God’s eye, Israel. God is sovereign and whatever He allows may seem unfair to us since we don’t see the big picture but as America fades into the background, our focus should be on being right with Him since the day of Christ’s return is closer than when we first believed.

A lot of people depend on commentaries from dead scholars regarding Eschatology and frankly there’s nothing wrong with that but I believe it becomes a problem when most people depend TOO MUCH on a dead scholar’s interpretation of End Time Prophecy rather than reading the scriptures for themselves and letting the Holy Spirit guide them to the truth. God is no respecter of men and shows no favoritism (Acts 10:34). If those dead scholars had the Holy Spirit, they are no special than modern day believers who happen to have the One and The Same Holy Spirit who inspired them to write whatever they have written (and some are questionable at best) but Scripture is exempt from this because Scripture is God’s Word.

I don’t discredit the contributions of the dead scholars (pardon me for sounding like a broken record but I am doing it for emphasis), but the reality is they DID NOT happen to live at such a time as now. We are living in times where everyday is a constant reminder that we are in the birth pangs as the Bible calls it. I know my opinion will come off as harsh but I believe when people are stuck in reading interpretations from other people rather than depending on the Holy Spirit, it is a byproduct of an oppressive elitist indoctrination that only those who are qualified in the world’s eyes are to be heeded. We are to remember 1 Corinthians 1:26-28,

“Brothers, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are.”

The Catholics happen to suffer from this, “I need to go see Father So and So and see what he thinks about this passage.” We know exactly why they do this. It’s because they are taught they can’t understand Scripture without proper interpretation and they are right to an extent (proper interpretation comes from the Holy Spirit, not some Seminarian who spent years studying but without being truly born of the Spirit). I heard a testimony from a Messianic believer that since infancy, they are told to consult Rabbis regarding The Torah which the Rabbis don’t even read, but they learn to interpret through interpretations. Can you pass something like this as learning from the Holy Spirit?

Even their scholars might not even come to the proper interpretation because if they are stuck in a false system and are fully convinced, God is absent from their lives (since God’s Word is spiritually discerned) and they will not understand the full scope because only the Holy Spirit reveals it, but once a person comes to a genuine saving faith in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells in the believer and is guaranteed to be guided to the truth (John 16:13).

If you are not convinced of this, you need to go sort that out with God yourself because apparently, you have trouble believing in His promise.

There are undeniable preparations for the rebuilding of the Jewish Third Temple and yet some people want to believe that believing in a literal Third temple is erroneous. I’m pretty confident that had those same dead scholars lived in our time, they would have no problem recanting what they have written. We are admonished to be discerning and we can only be that when we trust in God’s promised guide to us, the Holy Spirit, to illuminate our minds as we read Scripture regarding End Time Prophecy, and yes, His first coming was literal; it was written and it came to pass. His second coming is written and the prophecies and events heralding it WILL come to pass. My question is,

Are You Prepared?

I intended my title to be allegorical but whether or not it’s literal, only time will surely tell.
