Man Proposes, God Disposes

The title of today’s post is one of my father’s favorite sayings. As I am writing this entry, I feel validated that voting for the newly elected president was the right thing to do and I know most Christians had their reservations but sometimes, God puts us to make tough decisions so that we may call on Him for wisdom and discernment. I have certainly gotten to the point and asked God, “If most Christians are not voting, am I the one who’s making the wrong decision?” One thing I know was that if we kept on the trajectory of the current administration where they have gotten so far to completely do away with even addressing anyone their proper gender pronoun, it is truly getting beyond absurd.

My husband and I watched the election coverage until the wee hours of the morning when they finally decided to announce the victory that should have been rightly called almost 2 hours before they announced it. Yesterday’s historic turnout only proves that NO ONE should trust the lamestream media and their projections. Though they tried to manipulate and discourage people with their erroneous numbers, the disgruntled Americans simply had enough.

Us deplorables, the “non-college educated” people of the United States as what the commentators repeatedly said, made a tremendous impact on the outcome of the election. Never mind the condescension as scripture says in 1 Corinthians 1:27,

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”

Not only that, the impossibility of the whole situation proves that it is God-ordained and people can try to manipulate outcomes, but it is God’s will that prevails. What the Democrats felt early this morning was exactly how the Republicans felt back in 2008 and 2012. I am just glad that the whole thing is finally over and most importantly, we as believers definitely need to PRAY even more for our newly elected officials because we are living in such exciting yet tumultuous times where our redemption is nearer than when we first believed.

P.S. I wish President-elect Trump would have mentioned God in his speech but at least he started on a humble note acknowledging help from people. I can only hope that the new president will deliver on his promises.

  1. Trump is a breath of fresh air. Now maybe God will start to bless America by Trump helping Israel.

    1. His intent to help the State of Israel was definitely one of the reasons I voted for him…

      1. I voted for him because it will help to defeat homosexuality, Muslims coming to America and abortion.

      2. We can only wait and see.

  2. Hehe…I dont think he will prevent muslims in general from trying to enter….but they may go through a deeper process….they will try to prevent terrorists from entering.

    1. Yeah. I agree but I’m hoping at least he will not allow the flood of “nearly impossible to vet” Migrants HC wanted. I know the Europeans are now amped to fight to regain their country.

  3. Man does, alway do what God tells him to do. And that is sad. We arent obedient

    1. There are countless examples in the Bible that God tests the believers to do something that sometimes does not make sense.

Getting to a state of obedience is definitely a process for all of us but as believers, when we see things taking a turn for the worse, we are only required to do what we know to be the right thing in alignment to Scripture and leave the consequences to God.

      Thanks for visiting.
