A view of Mt. Hood taken from Timberline Lodge parking lot

My family headed to Mt. Hood. The other times, we only went to lookout points closer to us but we finally went. While my husband and son went up the base of the mountain, my daughter and I decided to pass on the huffing and puffing experience.  I’m glad I stayed since my husband told me they had to rest a few times to catch their breath. I must admit I am a bit out of shape. I used to skate ALL day, but sad to say all that energy is no longer with me.

Opposite Mt. Hood is another mountain. I’m not quite sure which one this is, Rainier or Jefferson. All I know is that it looks beautiful all the same.

“For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.

Isaiah 54:10

His faithfulness is unfathomable! I love the clarity of the last verse on the same chapter that promises this to ALL who belong to Him.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17

  1. Beautiful!!!
I would have been huffing and puffing, too!!!

    1. Indeed! It is breathtaking in view as well as literally “breath taking” to those who decide to climb. ヅ
