Pink & Purples For Gray

On our way to church yesterday, we all noticed the thick bed of pink petals. At first, I thought it was just me, but I asked my husband, son and daughter and they all said the same thing. Since we moved here almost five years ago, none of us remembered seeing it like that. I suppose it has something to do with the seriousness of the time, that we end up being more mindful of the things we may have taken for granted in the past. I did not have my camera so we headed back out after church. I wanted to post something cheery, but something more pressing came up and so, this pinkalicious post for is meant for today.

“He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail.

1 Samuel 2:9

The Cherry blossom petals may have fallen, but another pink flower takes its place. This was taken in 2019. It’s been gray for a couple of days now and today became the perfect time to transplant my Black Ball bachelor buttons/cornflower seedlings. It’s the same flower you see, only in a rich aubergine/eggplant color. I wish I have a pic, but I don’t since it’s my first time growing it.

I’ve been growing the more common colors you see here. They have seeds that look like cute little launching rockets.

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. 10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:2-11
