Disrespect and disavowing a symbol of freedom is definitely not deserving of a reward. Disrespect reaps disgrace and it has always been this way until now. We are admonished in Scripture not to use our freedom as a cover up for evil (1 Peter 2:16). What is truly exasperating is the fact that an act of reverence such as genuflecting is now an act of defiance which is also what happened to the rainbow, a symbol of God’s promise, being hijacked to now being a symbol for rebellion/immorality. It’s hard not to react on the monotony of the news coverage about the NFL dominating the airwaves. I would have to deliberately choose to be ignorant of current events which is something I find very hard to do.
I became a citizen of the United States in 2002 and underwent a long process of waiting and I can honestly say when I heard the national anthem for the first time being a citizen, it certainly was an emotional moment. It is truly saddening how people who dream of becoming citizens of this great nation hailing from foreign lands seem to care more for this country than the ones born here and are willing to toss it all away. They are not fully to blame however (and yes, I am talking about the new generation being led to believe what’s bad is good and what’s good is bad). People act in accordance to what they have been taught. Now that I have said my piece (peace), I am going to try to cling to Philippians 4:8,
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
“If there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things” – and this leads to the seeds I harvested. I started out with less than 60 sunflower seeds last Spring and I am pleased that I have harvested plenty of seeds to sow for next Spring Godwilling.
When we plant something good, we can expect a harvest of something good. What kind of seeds are you sowing?

To me, sowing the seeds is important but its also important to have a firm foundation in which to plant the seed.
I believe what you mean is one must sow on fertile ground or good soil as referred in Matthew 13:8, and verse 23 of the same chapter. The only way one will ever be in a firm foundation is when they have made Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
My post was referring to the principle of what one sows (deed wise) is what they will reap which can also be tied with the golden rule in Matthew 7:12.
