The Fifth Day

And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

Genesis 1:20-23 NIV

Beauty won’t save the world. However, it is a constant reminder that what God made was good. Even the adversary was created in beauty and perfection until it corrupted him (Ezekiel 28:11-17).

  1. What a beautiful and insightful post! It’s true that beauty is a reminder of God’s goodness and creation. In light of this, I’m curious to know – what inspired you to choose this specific scripture passage for the desktop wallpaper images?

    1. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. I truly appreciate it.

The bird’s pose has something to do with the first one. It’s looking up. With everything that is happening, it is beneficial for every believer to redirect our eyes towards God.

Verse two is a verse illustrating one of a contrite heart and verse three is illustrative of a heart that is resigned to God’s will– the verse happens to be from Jesus’ model prayer.
