I’m pretty sure all of us know the story of Snow White and the rotten apple. When we perceive something to be clearly rotten, it’s common sense we would avoid it, but when something comes to us which seems harmless, we don’t pay mind to it even though behind the scenes, it is in a sugarcoated form with the very objective of inflicting a slow acting spiritual poison.
The Parable of the Weeds
Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
“‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
“‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”
Matthew 13:24-30
The passage is indicative that God allows both Christians and pseudo Christians to coexist and only at the end of the age will we truly know who’s who but Jesus did give us tell tale signs to discern the true believers from the false (see Matthew 7:16-17, Matthew 7:21-23).
I always thought Facebook and Twitter were pretty bad. People can rant their vitriol (be it unwarranted or legit) to anyone no holds barred and mostly anyone can join in and this is the reason why I have neither Facebook nor Twitter. I unplugged from Facebook nearly four years ago and I saw Twitter as too trendy so I never bothered to open an account. But guess what? I just realized that WordPress is even more dangerous than both simply because Christians, even with the best of intentions forward things that are just plain and simply demonic.
There is nothing more noble than having a desire to reach a wider audience for Christ, but if it is at the cost of compromising what is biblical, we must choose. But how can one even make the choice if they don’t know what they are forwarding and or spewing forth is unbiblical?
I’m a sinner, and nor do I pretend I don’t struggle with things but as a Christian, am I within bounds to point out something to be unbiblical without being seen as judgmental? Of course! (see 2 Timothy 3:16). In so doing, I was being alluded to as a “Red Pill Christian who pervert the gospel,” and on another occasion, on a one on one with someone from WP, I was told I needed exorcism because I showed Scripture which pointed out that Catholicism deifies Mary, a created being. Is it necessarily a bad thing to be classified as a “Red Pill” Christian? According to Matthew 5:11-12,
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
What exactly does that mean anyway? The most obvious and probable source of this terminology would be The Matrix analogy of the Red Pill and Blue Pill. We all know swallowing the Blue Pill is the delusion. So, as it turns out, being a Red Pill Christian only signifies someone is committed on their deliberate decision and has calculated the cost of following Christ (see Luke 14:27-28). If someone tells you you’re a Red Pill Christian, it actually is a positive thing.
Point of the story is, there are a lot of people claiming to be Christians here and I don’t know what it is people do behind closed doors, that’s between them and God but “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks,” in this case, write and or reblog. If I read something clearly against Scripture, should I react? If I know it to be so, you bet. Will my reaction be found in the spirit of genuine concern? That all depends on the person’s walk with the Lord. If a person is mature, they take it and if they’re not, they’ll consider it as an act of war. How exactly do you think the Pharisees reacted when Jesus called them snakes? That is the typical reaction of the flesh and I’m not saying I’m exempt from this and this is where asking God to give me the words to respond with grace is helpful.

Truth hurts and divides. Will we always be walking in the path of peace? The aim is yes but rarely will it always be a Kumbaya moment. Even one’s choice to obey God will be the very cause of marginalization and estrangement even with some members of our own family! That being said, if you happen to be a Red Pill Christian, do not be discouraged. You are certainly not alone.
Here’s a thought: take neither pill. Our life isn’t in the matrix. It’s just as movie and not meant to guide us in all our interactions.
Though I know of some who claim to be a part of the Red Pill Movement who are not free of delusion, they have simply chosen which delusions to believe in wholeheartedly and given themselves over to it. For them, Jesus came to restore masculinity, to right biblical gender roles, to affirm male headship, that sort of thing. But that use of Red Pill seems to be different to the idea you’re conveying.

If I’m deluded which I know I’m not, I rest in the fact that my so-called “delusion” is backed up by God’s Word, which is not only historically accurate and prophetic, in which detractors can only try their best to malign its credibility and veracity but are NOT successful.
The analogy of the Matrix is a fact of life and denial rarely ever makes anything go away, maybe for a time, but truth has its way of constantly gnawing at someone until it penetrates granted it was given a chance to actually be stated without being stifled. The fact that you keep bringing up the same thing is indicative of an existing battle within your mind.

There’s a line in the Matrix movie that says, “ignorance is bliss”, in the real world ignorance is so deadly that if you choose to acknowledge solely in a physical world (The Matrix) then how can you prepare yourself to escape the Lake of Fire If you don’t believe in the afterlife? The unseen world is more real than this world we live in. What Caeli is saying is that the Truth which is found in Jesus Christ is only revealed to those who take the red pill. To me the red pill would mean that the Holy Spirit has opened up ones eyes to reality that without Christ there is no redemption.

There’s this saying in this area: “being so heavenly-minded, one is no earthly good.” It’s akin to this red pill / blue pill idea. I just fear that anyone whose sole focus is the realest reality will come to view our earthly delusion as less important. After all, the Bible says that there will be famine towards the end times, so why bother feeding the hungry if you’re just going to fly away from earth and escape the delusion? When you watch the matrix; the ability of Neo, Trinity and Morpheus to alter the reality of the delusion means they don’t have to really care about the people in it and how the things they do affect them.
For a Christian who has set his mind on things above will be a good neighbor because when ones concerns is for the Kingdom of Heaven, he/she will give of themselves and help those in need and be, like you said, “earthly good.”
Famine will come because the world like yourself has rejected the Living God Jesus Christ and like yourself want to stay in your sins. God is a righteous Judge and He has to punish your sin or else He won’t be righteous and at the same time He is trying to wake you up from your stupor of how serious it is to continue rejecting Jesus Christ.

I know you directed this to Spaniard but real Christianity is not self-absorbed as you’re implying. In Matthew 22:37-39, it says, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment.And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Normally when people do this, they are fulfilling all 10 commandments but people have a relativistic definition of love. The biblical definition is rejected by people who believe “The Bible wasn’t written for modern society and isn’t up to speed with what it takes to live here and today.” Remember that quote? That is coming from you from our previous exchange. Rejecting the Bible is rejecting God’s revelation about himself.
You think those people taking to the streets would hear what Christians have to say? Imagine the women’s march, they didn’t even allow other women into the march who held pro-life stances. Christians do care but people are so blinded by their desire to continue their lives without being governed by godly principles. All we are trying to do is tell people about the reality but people want to stay ignorant (stay in the Matrix). If those people are asserting to be heard, wouldn’t it be valid for Christians to be given a chance to be heard as well? Tolerance it seems, is a one way street.
The Bible is many things – take the verses that require women to wear head coverings – for the most part Christians would agree that women are not required to cover their heads in church just because they’re women – so some elements of it aren’t up to speed with what it takes to live for today. Some of it is poetry, in which case it shouldn’t be taken literally. Some of it is visions and prophecies that either haven’t come to pass or are so confusing that we would be wise to take them with a grain of salt. What I’m saying is that some Christians are so keen to help the end times arrive, they won’t do anything to thwart what God says will happen. So when there is a famine, they check it off of the list of things are just supposed to happen and eagerly await Jesus’ return as opposed to doing something, anything to help . When wars happen, they’re checking off the list again. They won’t do anything to stop the world from ending because they’d be stopping God from doing what he promised. Think about the refugee situation and the travel ban that our president installed on behalf of the Christians that voted him into office – it’s un-Christ-like, is it not?
For someone like yourself who suggests to take neither the Red or Blue Pill, someone who refuses to make a clear cut choice, you honestly think it would be prudent on my part to take your biblical interpretation? First of all, you reject the clear and obvious revelation that God, came into this world as a man. If you get something as basic as that wrong, what else can you possibly get wrong since you are devoid of the Holy Spirit, who enlightens the person’s mind to grasp not only the surface but the spiritual truths?
The point I find valid to address is your question as to “why ‘Christians’ won’t do anything to thwart what God says will happen?” That question is an indication of fear and a semblance of knowledge of the judgment that is to come. Let me be honest with you that I used to think like that before I got saved. I knew I was living a life contrary to God and if people were to see how ugly I was, it was utterly shameful. I was being convicted of how I lived my life and it was God’s way of drawing me to Himself. You either listen to the conviction and accept it or you force your way and eventually, God will give one over to that. God is ever so patient with everyone wanting them to make the choice for themselves.
For someone to claim to be a Christian and not want Christ to come would be an oxymoron. Why would a Christian not want righteousness to reign where “There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4)? To desire to “thwart” God’s will likens one to be like Satan, the adversary in Matthew 16:23 where Jesus said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
Peter did not want Jesus to die on the cross and though it sounded like a legitimate concern, Peter’s desire was going against God’s will. You honestly think a mere human being can thwart God? What a sick delusion that truly is, coming from Lucifer who sets himself against God.
In regards to the refugees, it is quite very unfortunate that innocent people are being denied entry into the United States but it is any country’s right to secure the safety of its own citizens. Research the Migrant Crisis in Europe, the one which is not covered by mainstream media, real footage from real citizens who are being raped by migrants in Europe and men beaten by refugees who suck their welfare system dry becoming an economic burden when there are citizens who live in poverty. This is not coming from media outlets Liberals deem to be unreliable but coming straight from people who have witnessed first hand the mayhem the refugees caused in their own soil.
People can see prudence as un-Christ-like, even love can be seen as hate by the people who claim to sow seeds of love but are breaking stuff, threatening the assassination of the president and screaming vulgarity in the streets. Wake up. This world is backwards.
I’ve always believed in the wisdom of having diverse perspectives as a basis for knowledge; if your counselors are all people who not only agree with you on everything and have the same background that you do – well, you don’t get the same feedback you do from someone whose experiences are the opposite of yours or just entirely different. Jesus’ disciples weren’t all guys who were just like him, they were fisherman, a doctor, a tax collector, poor men, rich men, and there was a set of women who funded his ministry and traveled with him who also represented different paths and backgrounds. Jesus’ message attracted non-believers, God-fearers, and religious devotees alike. His message was simple: “The kingdom of God is at hand ” It wasn’t: “You’re all sinners who God (also me and the H.S.) created and the Father (also God) will send to Hell if I (Jesus, also God) don’t save you (from my holy aversion to sin, which is a problem I didn’t create but didn’t prevent from happening either, or I created it but created a way out that you have to choose because I can’t save everyone even though I love everyone) and give you the Holy Spirit (also God.)” It’s people who have added many layers, shades of meaning, and hues of interpretation that have taken the original Word and colored outside of the lines in such a way as to obscure the simple truth that Jesus’ communicated and exemplified.
What I don’t want is our all merciful God to become the God of Revelation, who leaves behind a body count that destroys what – half or more of the world’s population? It’s a betrayal of who He says He is if He up and casts judgements and curses and kills and destroys – that’s not being all merciful. But hey, if the Bible says that people have to starve, suffer disease, be burnt – then so be it?
I’m sure much of the same would have been said of my ancestors, refugees fleeing a blighted Ireland, who had been caught between two powers and had lost everything when they were facing economic hardship – and what became of them? They were one of the hardest working classes we have ever known and they helped America become more prosperous than ever. Every new wave of immigrants and refugees has always been met with suspicion and fear; even when there was a mass-migration from all over the south to California in the Great Depression years. It’s our instinct as sinners to surround ourselves only with those we know are like us, only with those we know are in agreement with us, only with those who talk and think like we do; people who don’t are always viewed as a threat. But scripture told the believers to be hospitable as they may be unaware that they are entertaining angels. Showing hospitality was an ancient practice that turned two strangers into allies, and sometimes into a family. Perhaps God knew that the 10/40 Window was so closed that people wouldn’t go there so he found a way to get the people from there to come to us. This isn’t a time for shrinking back in fear – Jesus didn’t say: only give to people who will give back to you, only help people who will help you, only share with people who will share with you, only associate with people who are just like you. Our ancient brothers and sisters in Christ wouldn’t let this opportunity to pass them by; I wonder why modern Christians are so keen to let people suffer and die rather than to lift a finger to reach them and try and help them?
Do you go to sleep with your doors locked? If you do, you do so because while you are sleeping, you don’t want any burglar or any murderer to break into your house, right? Apply that same concept to your concern for the refugees. Even Islamic nations, who hold to the same belief as them, refuse to take them in by the droves. Take Saudi Arabia which has ample accommodation of tents for these refugees to stay in. But no. They have to come to the West. Why? Because there is an underlying goal at play here. People created the circumstance that they have to push the refugees to the West with Saudi Arabia promising Germany funds to build more mosques granted they take in more refugees. Why don’t Saudi, a rich country who is a Muslim country take them all?
There are ways to help the refugees by building them shelters in their own land, someplace remote that is not war-torn. If money is to be spent on aid for the refugees, that would be a more wise alternative than allowing people in without extreme vetting.
For you not to sound like a hypocrite, do you actually host them in your own house? If not, what gives you the right to even assume just because people take the stance of securing our safety don’t want to help?

I read in someones post about a magic bean that if they take it it will give them life and for them it was a joke. The spiritual realm is not a joke but real and serious because we are dealing with fallen angels who are void of anything good and only want your destruction at any cost. Look, those with the Holy Spirit know the Lord’s Jesus voice (Jesus being the Word) and follow Him but those that don’t have Christ will follow a stranger (demonic doctrine). Satan uses these jokes as a way to trip people up. I don’t think Jesus finds that funny.
Some residue from a wordly mindset are quite stubborn to remove… That’s why we are urged to renew our minds with God’s living Word. Biblical illiteracy is a serious thing which explains the rampant rise of Liberalism even within Christian circles.

Your statement reveals your shortcoming of understanding something spiritual since it requires God in your life (the Holy Spirit) to open one’s mind for understanding according to 1 Corinthians 2:13-15 which says, “13 These things also we proclaim, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things. Getting back to coverings for women, the covering was a symbol of men’s authority (see verses above) over women regarding in position in the church as it is seen in verse 13 of 1 Corinthians 11 which says, “13 Judge for yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God uncovered?”
Paul was writing to the Corinthian church because it seemed that some women wanted to take man’s role in God’s house which that isn’t woman’s role and Paul went back to Genesis to make his case. Man Adam, was created first and he was in need of an helper suitable for him, not only to procreate but to support him and Eve’s hair which was long was a sign of her role as a helper so the covering represented her role in the early church as it was in its infant stages. The head coverings was also used as a model and a reminder (every time a head covering was warn) to signify their roles in the church. We see how God uses clothing or garments in such a way as to remind us of His Word in Numbers 15:38-39 which says, “38 Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them to make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout the generations to come, and they will put a ribbon of blue on the corners of their garments. 39 And it will be for you a tassel, and you will see it, and you will remember all the commandments of the Lord, and you will do them, and you will not follow the lust of your own heart and your own eyes.
