What Is God’s Will?

Dissenters often say the evils done in the name of religion cost the lives of so many. They also say those who kill people in the name of God are ‘doing God’s will’ as they strap explosives on their bodies, do honor killings, burn churches etc. This is coming from someone who has been convinced of a lie and equating all religions to be the same when they clearly are not.

Evils done in the name of Communism, Socialism, Nazism, and Totalitarianism to mention a few, far outweigh the evils done in the name of the Judeo-Christian God within the previous century alone. These ideologies disregard God as it elevates man and government in the place of God. Reality is, these are all just nuances that lead to one common denominator – Atheism, which is the outright rejection of God. People who have no accountability to God commit such unspeakable evils and have no moral restraints whatsoever since they have convinced themselves they have no one to answer to.

God’s will is for people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Bringing others to the knowledge of the truth IS doing God’s will. Obviously, you can’t do that if you kill people. Those who equate suicide bombings as God’s will clearly have no idea on what they are talking about. The very instance of killing someone not only violates God’s direct commandment (Exodus 20:13), but it instantly robs the person from ever coming to the knowledge of the truth (especially if they do not know Jesus). Those who do this in the religious camp are just as bad as those who treat human life as if it meant nothing, who easily kill people for merely having a dissenting opinion as commonly practiced in atheistic/irreligious regimes mentioned above.

A Call to Persevere

17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. 18 They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. 19 These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

22 Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Jude 17-23

Has God recently put a burden in your heart to minister to a scoffer? It certainly is no easy task. You came to the knowledge of the truth because God sent someone to minister to you. Are you willing to be that person to someone else?

  1. “Those who equate suicide bombings as God’s will clearly have no idea on what they are talking about.”

This quote says a lot because if a religious person wants to bring people to a saving faith [to the worship of the true God] and then ends up killing them, they just did the opposite lol

  2. “God’s will is for people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). “
Amen! Again we were just having this discussion with our boys this a.m.!
