American Goldfinch

Not sure if that’s resin or water on the bird’s eye, but if it’s the latter, it sure looks like a tear drop. I suppose this yellow bird has a lot of things to be sad about, considering what’s happening to the country. However, these creatures as Jesus reminds us have no worries.

This one was preening. For birds, it’s ridding something that’s not supposed to be in their feathers—shaking off what needs to be shaken off, parasites and all. Speaking of parasites, the worst kind is the spiritual kind. A parasite though undetected really does damage to its host.
