Grace: Not A License But Hope

We all go through different walks, phases, and struggles (and the spiritual struggle is only present in those who have truly been bought by the Blood of the Lamb as evidenced in 2 Timothy 2:26, that when we operate in the flesh, we are mostly led by lawlessness and this being contrary to God’s righteousness)  but our blessed assurance is in this…

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.”

Ephesians 1:13-14

You possess a seal and inheritance that is irrevocable. You are forgiven of your past, present, and future.

When you came to the Lord, He saw everything you were going to do until the day you depart from this world.

This irrevocable assurance of grace and forgiveness is not a license to continue living contrary to his will.

It is an eternal spring of hope- of being able to start anew from whatever you have done and wherever you have been.

“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
